This combination drill bit is used to create 6-32 threads in metal. It can also be used to repair worn or damaged existing threads. The drill bit has 3 parts: a drill bit at the front, a tap in the mid-point, and a counter-sink on the back. This allows you to drill a new hole, taps the threads, then countersink the opening in a single pass. Please drill slowly and ensure that you keep the drill straight during this process.
